Words cannot express how lucky my fiancé and I are to be working with Elizabeth and Emilie. Their level of professionalism is unlike any we've experienced thus far planning our wedding.
Elizabeth and Emilie have treated us like family, and have taken such a personal and intimate approach at helping my fiancé and I create the perfect atmosphere for our big day.
We interviewed several other highly recommended caterers in the area, but the Catering Company of Washington stood out to us for a multitude of reasons. To start, their food is beyond excellent, and unique! Elizabeth and Emilie were kind enough to invite us to not one, but two tastings at separate events, both of which the food was spectacular. Their food creations are definitely high-end restaurant quality, and not the typical food you experience at a wedding. We left the tasting craving more!
Second, their attention to detail and level of responsiveness is so comforting. Planning a wedding is a very stressful process, but Elizabeth and Emilie are true professionals and have helped us every step of the way. They're very responsive to emails, and always follow up on their progress with us, even when we haven't reached out to inquire. We've really been able to rest easy knowing that our wedding is in the hands of experts.
To couples out there still trying to decide on a caterer, or for anyone looking for the best food and service in town, I can't recommend The Catering Company of Washington enough. We plan to use them for years to come!!

The Catering Company of Washington always does a superb job when do an event for my company.
Last week we had them come do a reception for us and it was so flawless. They were able to set up a little "bar" and had a bartender who made drinks for our guest. They also had another crew member in our little kitchen space making hors d'oeuvres.
Emilie, the catering manager for our event, was super sweet and friendly! She and her crew were able to set up everything so swiftly and efficiently! The same for the break down of everything!
The Catering Company of Washington will definitely be a vendor for my company for years and years to come! Thanks for the lovely reception!

Our wedding party for 107 people, at our house, was a huge success, mainly because of the food, service and planning help from The Catering Company of Washington. We are not kids; our friends are fellow world travelers & foodies - our food needed to be top quality and creative. Elizabeth helped create a very special menu that included favorites carried out in uncommon dishes. It worked! Every dish was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Friends are still talking about her amazing lamb chops, fried green tomato sliders, duck confit on wontons and pâté, among other dishes like ceviche.
The service, starting with manager Emily, was spot on. Both bartenders knew their stuff and interacted beautifully with all our guests. The service staff really knew how to circulate through the many rooms, 2 levels, and large (outside) deck - they took great care of our guests.
From bidding to planning to set up and breakdown, Elizabeth and her company were great to deal with, and made our very important and special event spectacular.

We recently had our wedding reception here for 50 people and I cannot recommend it enough! To start, the venue itself is absolutely stunning. Elizabeth and her team are incredibly responsive, easy to work with and made the entire planning process a breeze. Additionally, the venue is incredibly affordable, especially for a location in the heart of D.C. But most importantly, the food was amazing! My husband and I love great food and Elizabeth's more than delivered. None of that tired, boring wedding food of overdone steak and bland chicken. Instead it was a beautiful seasonal menu on par with any 4 star restaurant I've dined in. The wine and cocktails were fantastic and paired perfectly with our meal selections. The service was A+ : Elizabeth, Nathan and her team went above and beyond to ensure the night was memorable and flawless. If you are having a small wedding or other event, absolutely check out Elizabeth's on L.

We had the perfect wedding at Elizabeth's on L on July 30, 2016 with 64 guests. We had two ceremonies (Western and Korean) and the reception here. It was breathtaking and delicious. It was also stress-free and affordable! Breena, our venue coordinator, and Elizabeth, the owner, were two of the most professional, efficient, effective, and lovely people I've ever met! My partner and I were also coordinating a cross-country move that would happen a week after the wedding. The only reason we were able to handle both the wedding and the move was because we knew we could put all our faith in Breena and Elizabeth and not worry about the wedding. We were also on a strict wedding budget. Elizabeth's on L was so willing to work with our budget and exceeded all of our expectations. Our guests were blown away by the elegant venue space and the incredible food. I can't sing enough praises about this business! Highly, highly recommend. Go and visit - you'll find yourself willing to cut down your guest list just so you can make sure you can use this venue!

There are already a lot of 5 star reviews posted here about Elizabeth's - which is how I found this venue in the first place! I'm so glad I did, because it turned out to be the perfect place to host our event. We had 42 guests and both the ceremony and reception at Elizabeth's. They worked with us to get the right flow of events, layout of tables and menu to fit all of our guests' allergies or special requests, which took a lot of tweaking and e-mail communication. Emilie is mentioned in many reivews here - she has recently left Elizabeth's, but we did work with her for much of our planning. Breena stepped in to finish planning and to be our point person. The transition was flawless. Breena knew all of our details, handled our music playlists, event order, and she kept checking in with me throughout the night. I think it says a lot about their professionalism that we were able to switch coordinators shortly before the event and I had complete confidence in them, and it went off without a hitch! I can only repeat what others have said - Elizabeth's is more reasonably priced than most venues out there, they have delicious food, and their interiors are beautiful! If you are having a smaller wedding and think you can't afford to do it right in downtown DC, you need to check out Elizabeth's.
